Having lived and worked in the Cairns area for most of her life Karen has naturally been influenced by the environment and character of Cairns and the north of Queensland.  Her artwork and designs represent life and colour of this amazing part of the world.

Arriving in Cairns, Karen began designing t-shirts and fabrics for the tourist market, which she credits for her knowledge and love of colour.  

 For some time Karen was a free-lance artist and designer for local businesses creating bright, colourful, fun products reflecting life in Cairns. She was also employed by a local newspaper and a boutique advertising agency.  

Karen's portfolio illustrates the character, style, variety and versatility of Karen as an artist and designer.  Other mediums and interests include printmaking, photography and illustration.
